“Our track has two components: 1) to provide a signal that is unambiguously the product of musical intentionality- it has core components of human music practices (tempo shifts, chord structure and pitch relationships, repetition in time, change over time) which hopefully even in a small amount of time could function in an ambassadorial role as an example of what humans do when they make music 2) it is sourced entirely out of the sounds generated by plastic objects, and in spreading plastic across space it furthers the domain of the 'plastisphere', a term used by oceanographers to talk about the distribution of plastic trash into smaller and smaller objects in circulation throughout the earth's environments. By spreading plastic farther into space, we see our song as an extension of the plastisphere.”
